Dutch + short pass combination

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point

Setup

Each player has a ball. Either set up a square cone or have the exercise carried out freely in the field.

Procedure

The player dribbles the ball forward, brakes and pulls the ball back with the sole of the right foot. He moves his foot behind the ball and plays it with the right full span to the left foot. This technique is now carried out with the left and turns into the quick execution of a right / left ball combination with the right and left inside of the foot, performed several times in a row. He tries to perform this interplay as quickly as possible and repeatedly to take his eyes off the ball. The player's gaze can be encouraged by briefly calling the player to look at the coach. Technique-movement sequence: 1 - Ball control right foot 2 - Pull the ball back with the sole of the right foot 3 - Play the ball with the right full instep on the left foot 4 - Pull the ball back with the left sole 5 - Play the ball with the left full instep on the right foot 6 - Play the ball with the right inside on the left foot 7 - Play the ball with the left inside on the right foot 8 - Play the ball with the right inside on the left foot 9 - Play the ball with the left inside on the right foot

Tip

Technique of execution of the sole of the foot: - When withdrawing the ball, the supporting leg (left) is at the height of the ball. - Bend your leg and do not lean backwards. - The upper body is slightly bent forward at the beginning and becomes a little more upright when stopping and withdrawing the ball. Execution technique full span: - The ankle must be open. - Bend your leg. - Only touch the ball very lightly (fine technique). - Upper body bent forward. - Looking alternately towards the ball and upwards. - Do not play with the inner or outer instep. Children in particular tend to turn the ankle inward and use the outer instep to guide the ball. Take corrective action right from the start and make sure the feet are straight. Technique of execution inside: - Keep your legs bent. - Move on the footpads. - Short ground contact time. - Do not touch the ball with the entire inside of the foot, but play it sideways in the middle of the ball. - The upper body is bent slightly forward. - Don't lie on your back. - Arms bent and walking in the opposite direction. - Alternating view towards the ball and upwards. - Keep up the pace. - As many ball contacts as possible. - If the ball leaves the left foot, the left leg automatically becomes the standing leg (the body's center of gravity shifts from the right to the left leg). If the ball leaves the right leg, it is exactly the opposite with the shift of the body's center of gravity. The constant swinging of the ball from the right to the left inside also brings about a permanent change in the body's center of gravity.
