  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression

Setup

Set up a cone square.

Procedure

a) The blue players dribble with the ball inside the square and play one-twos with the red players on the outside. b) The red players have the ball in their hands and toss it to the oncoming blue players, who return it with a header, inside of the foot, instep, or with combinations such as chest-thigh-instep, head-thigh-instep, etc. c) The blue players play a one-two and as a follow-up action perform a feint (e.g., step-over, shot fake, pirouette, cut move). d) The blue players play a one-two, and then the blue player passes once more to the red player and switches positions with him.ne) Juggling in pairs. Each round lasts 60 seconds, then players switch.

Tip

For a) Tight ball control, many touches, changes of direction and speed, different dribbling variants (instep, inside, sole, etc.); pass with right and left, firm and precise passes. The pass from the outside player can go directly to the passer or into his run. If the ball is passed to the player, he should turn with the first touch and start in the opposite direction; if the ball is passed into the run, he should sprint directly to it and control it. For b) Toss accurately with both hands — do not lob the ball but throw slightly from bottom to top. Header: Contact surface is the forehead, power comes from the arched back (bow tension), arms are bent and jerked toward the body at the moment of contact. Inside of the foot: Turn the ankle fully out (90 degrees), move the foot from bottom to top toward the ball. Lock the ankle at the moment of contact. Chest: Upper body leans slightly backward, face the ball squarely; after the ball drops off the chest, volley it back with the instep. For c) Ball control see a); apply different feints (pirouette, step-over, American fake, etc.), short sprint after the feint. For d) See a). For e) Stand 2-3 metres apart for juggling; apply different juggling techniques (instep, thigh, head...) and juggling combinations (foot-head-thigh; right foot - right thigh - left thigh - left foot...). Upper body is upright. When juggling with the foot, extend the instep. Contact surface is the top of the foot to no spin on the ball. - 4 cones
