Six cones are placed as shown in the diagram. It is recommended to use large cones or flag poles for the outer cone positions (see diagram). This has the advantage that players must run around the cones rather than jump over them. Two players on each side face each other 10-15 metres apart. The exercise is suitable for 6-10 players.
Procedure
First, a flat or high pass is played from player A to B. Player B lays the ball off to the side into A's run. Player A dribbles to the cone, curves around wall player B, runs with the ball to the opposite large cone, and then dribbles to the other group. After the speed dribble, the player lines up with the red group. The red group with player D and wall player C performs the exercise simultaneously with mirrored running paths (as drawn). Alternative: This exercise can also be run as a competition. Both groups start simultaneously as described. The group whose player reaches the opposing team first with the ball earns a point. The team with the most points wins.
Tip
Attention: Players must always keep an eye on the opposing player so they do not interfere with each other when their running paths cross. - Pass and start timing often do not match because passes or starts are made either too early or too late. - The player expecting the ball always takes a step back in a dynamic jump movement and then moves one step toward the ball. - When laying off, slightly lift the foot. - Play passes sharp and accurate. - Players often run faster than they pass. - 6 cones
