Exercise of the Week 14: 3 vs. 2 with Passing Requirement

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Set up a goal on the goal line with a goalkeeper inside. Three attacking players and two defending players take up formation. The central attacker has the ball.

Procedure

The central blue player passes into the left winger's run. The left winger passes on to the right winger, who is allowed to either score a goal or pass the ball to one of his teammates. The two red defenders try to prevent the overload team from scoring. Alternative: The central attacker is also allowed to dribble past the defender.

Tip

- The overload team must attack quickly and use the full width of the field. The pass to the teammate must not come too late. - The defenders try to block passing lanes and engage in duels. - The attacking player starts when the passer begins the kicking motion. - The defender tries to press the attacker as early as possible so he cannot build speed, and if possible, positions his body with the shoulder forward between himself and the attacker. - 1 full-size goal(s)
