Football Biathlon

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19, Men's / Women's
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

• 5 poles
• 5 cones
• 7 marker cones

Since the exercise can be run as a competition, per team:

• 1 goal
• 2 cones in the same colour
• multiple balls

Procedure

Players line up one behind the other at the cones to start. Each team is evenly split and stands at a cone with the corresponding colour.

The first player starts with a power dribble to the first marker cone. Then a slalom through the poles to the right followed by a fast dribble to the cone. The ball is juggled until the next marker cone. Then to the right through a slalom around the cones to the last marker cone. Set the ball down and sprint toward the team-colour cone. 3 passes/shots on goal. For each miss, one penalty lap around the marker cone square. Then back to the starting cone where the next player is ready with a ball.

Each goal scores 1 point; additionally, the team that finishes the course fastest earns 10 points.

Tip

• Watch out that players do not get in each other's way
• Split groups evenly — for example, one striker, one defender per group, etc.
