  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Procedure

  • The right No. 6 opens to the right center-back (CB).
  • Just before the ball reaches the right CB, the right midfielder (RM) starts at high speed towards the center, and the right full-back (RB) sprints along the line into the free space. The CB plays a lofted ball into the path of the RB.
  • The RB takes the ball towards the goal line and crosses into the center.
  • Meanwhile, the strikers cross, and the left No. 6 starts centrally towards the penalty spot.
  • The right No. 6 moves into the center and provides cover for second balls or counter-attacks. Then, the left No. 6 starts the exercise on the left side.

Tip

Coaching Points

  • Pay attention to timing.
  • Ensure clean lofted balls.
  • Emphasize clean ball control and dribbling.
  • Lift heads just before the cross.
  • Strikers and No. 6 should not start into the box too early.
