Setup

The 4-3-3 system initially only defines the number of field players in the individual team parts. The goalkeeper is initially excluded from this counting method in the exercise title. In this 4-3-3 system presented here, the midfielders are arranged triangularly on the field. The individual team parts are indicated in lines. The first line is the goalkeeper. The second line is the four-back chain, the third line the two defensive midfielders, the fourth the offensive central midfielder and the fifth line the striker trio. If the own team the ball, the goalkeeper moves between his goal and the middle of his own half of the field, so that he has a distance of approx. 20 meters to the defense chain and is always playable as a kind of libero and can intervene in the back of the defense with long balls. The field players should take advantage of the width and depth of the entire playing field if they have the ball. In this system, you play with two central defenders, two full-backs in the back line, in midfield with two midfielders in half positions, an offensive midfielder in the center, and with two wingers and a central spike. If you have your own ball, the staggering of four attacking players means that you have an increased number of play stations close to the dangerous area. If the opponent has possession of the ball, the team moves in the defensive alliance in the 4-2-3-1 line formation on an area of maximum 35 x 35 meters. The two wingers are pulled back into midfield. The defensive formation is characterized in your starting position by a line positioning of the individual team parts. That the four defenders are on line, the two defensive midfielders, before that the central midfielder and the two wingers form a line and the central striker as well. This creates four lines of defense. It is important to keep certain distances between each other, which ensures optimal defense of your own goal. These distances are usually as follows: 7-12 meters wide and 8-15 meters deep. The distances between the individual players and parts of the team can vary due to an unsteady game speed, changes in the game situation or due to a temporary outnumbered game. In the team alliance, a compact, disciplined shift is aimed at, with the aim of narrowing the spaces and thus not allowing the opponent to pass into the depth on the one hand, and depriving him of the opportunity to start individual actions on the other. One of the most important tactical duel measures is to steer the ball-carrying player onto the outside lane and to get possession of the ball by double, and to direct the opening of the opposing team to the outside players by shifting the pass routes So that the only possible pass left is the middle one. There the player is then doubled and put under massive pressure.
