A playing field with 2 goals is marked out. Depending on the available number of players, 2 teams are formed. Each goal has a goalkeeper. To mark the midfield line, a cone is placed on each sideline and in the centre of the field. The diagram shows two 5-player teams + goalkeeper.
Procedure
The two teams play against each other. The number of touches is set by the coach and should be between one and three. Goals may only be scored with a first-time finish. The following values are assigned to different types of shots: - Low ball/first-time finish: 1 point - Header goal: 2 points - Volley: 3 pointsn
Tip
- The focus of this game format is on ball control with the options of 'quick transition from defence to attack.' Additionally, this game format trains combination play, movement off the ball, and pressing the team in possession. - The teams should be in constant motion. The players try to constantly offer themselves and be available as passing options for their teammates. - Getting stuck in a tight space should be avoided. Therefore, switches of play and through balls should be played regularly. - The teams can be arranged in a dice-five formation so they always have a central target player and form triangles. However, other formations are also possible. - This game format requires enormous running volume and game intelligence and is characterised by constant communication and interplay between both halves. - 7 cones, 2 full-size goal(s)
