Six cones are placed as shown. It is recommended to use tall cones or flag poles at the outer cone positions (see diagram). This has the advantage that the players must run around the cones and cannot jump over them. Two players face each other on each side, 10 - 15 metres apart. The exercise is suitable for 6 - 10 players.
First, a low or high pass is played from Player A to B. Player B lets the ball bounce to the side into the run of A. Player A dribbles to the cone, curves around the wall passer B, runs with the ball to the opposite tall cone, and then dribbles to the other group. After the speed dribble, the player lines up with the red group. The red group with Player D and wall passer C performs the exercise simultaneously with mirrored running paths (as drawn). Alternative: This exercise can also be performed as a competition. Both groups start simultaneously as described. The group whose player reaches the opposing team with the ball first earns a point. The team with the most points wins.
Caution: The players must always keep an eye on the opposing player to avoid interfering with each other when crossing paths. - Pass and start timing is often off, as players start or pass either too early or too late. - The ball-expecting player always takes a step back in a dynamic jumping motion and then takes a step toward the ball. - When letting the ball bounce, slightly raise the foot. - Pass sharply and accurately. - Often the player runs faster than he passes. - 6 cones
