Setup

A playing field with two goals is set up as shown in the graphic. The balls are distributed in the goals and players are divided equally between two teams in one half of the field. It can be played with or without a goalkeeper. The center line is marked with a cone in the middle.

Procedure

We play a handball header. The aim is to score a goal with your head. Rules: - Goals may only be scored with the head. - The ball is thrown with the hands. You can take a maximum of three steps with the ball in your hand. - The player in possession of the ball may be attacked, but only below the neck; Immediately stop fouls and continue with a free throw. - If the ball hits the ground, the opposing team receives the ball. - The defending team is prohibited from capturing the ball by catching the ball / handball. Conquering the ball is therefore only possible with the head, torso and legs and only if the ball does not fall on the ground after contact. - If the ball is played / blocked by the opposing player with his hand, there is a penalty shot for the attacking team (one player of the team goes with the ball on the goal line, another stands approx. 10 meters away. He now receives the ball thrown to the goal (volley or head). The defending team positions itself next to the goal and may run into the field of play to defend after the ball has left the hand of the player). - In order to score a goal, all players must have crossed the center line. If a teammate is dreaming, the goal does not count. If one of the opponent's players does not cross the center line, the goal counts twice. Variation options / focus design: - Goals with a head simply count. - Goals after a pass relay count twice (the ball may be forwarded volley before it is headed). - Goals may also be scored by volley acceptance. These count three times. - Instead of being thrown, the ball may only continue to be played by means of an instep. - The throws must first be stopped / processed with the head before the ball can be picked up. - A one-two with the foot followed by a successful goal completion counts three times. - To increase the speed of the game, an attack must not last longer than 20 seconds.

Tip

- Encourage the simple ball to the next player and at the same time leave room for creativity. - Pay attention to movement without the ball so that pass stations are created. - Very simultaneous game sequences / game situations for a soccer game. - Recognizing the game situation, if one sides is closed, the back must be rebuilt. - If the opposing team is standing in front of their own goal, they have to be lured out from behind. - Show the players that this type of game trains a lot of the content that is needed in a soccer game. - It is crucial that the throws are executed precisely (if necessary with both hands). - The hit area for the header is the forehead. - The momentum for the header is obtained from the 'bow tension' of the upper body (arched back posture). - With a diving header or a header after a jump, the footpad is tensed. - Pay attention to fair duels in a header duel (without using your elbows). - Demand physical contact. - The defending players try either to be on the ball in front of the attacker or to position themselves between the attacker and the goal in order to fend off the attack from there. - Demand quick counter-attacks. - 6 cones, 2 large field goal (s)
