Header 2 against 2

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Construction of a field with the help of a net and four cones (see drawing). In each half of the field there are two players who play together as a team against the team in the other half of the field. The points are scored according to the rules of football tennis.

Procedure

The "service" takes place as a throw-in in the rear area of the field. Afterwards, the game is played according to football tennis rules, whereby only headers are allowed to be played. If the ball touches the ground, the ball is played out of reach or if the ball is touched with a body part other than the head, the other team receives a point. There are usually 2-3 sets of bets played. Each set usually goes to 11 and has to be won by 2 points. Therefore, a team may need to win more than 11 points to win the set (12:10, 15:13 etc.).

Tip

- The hit area for the ball is the forehead. - The momentum for the header is obtained from the 'arch tension' of the upper body (hollow cross posture). - In the case of a flying header or a header after a jump, the footpads are used. - In this exercise, the header game is very strongly trained and the fixed, placed header game is trained. - 4 cones, 1 football tennis net
