Set up a goal and four cones as shown in the diagram. Two groups are formed. The balls are with the two players beside the goal. The remaining players of each group distribute themselves at the other two cones.
Procedure
The two throwers alternately throw the ball to their teammates for a header. After one team's player has headed, he lines up behind his group again and the next player from the other team runs up for a header. The team that heads 10 goals first wins. The throwers rotate regularly.
Tip
- It is crucial that the throws are executed precisely (with both hands). - Do not throw a "rainbow" arc (the ball's trajectory should rise slightly and linearly). - Throw the ball with momentum, but not too hard. - The contact surface for the header is the forehead. - The power for the header comes from the arching of the upper body (hollow back position). - For a diving header or a header after jumping, the player pushes off with the balls of the feet. - 4 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
