The goalkeeper circles the ball around his hips. He starts with the right hand clockwise (1). As he brings the ball past the hip, he moves the pelvis to the left. Behind the back, the hand switch occurs. The ball is transferred to the left hand and the hip is pushed forward. When the ball is at hip level again, the pelvis is pushed to the right. In front of the body, the switch from left hand to right hand occurs. The pelvis moves backward. This sequence continues. Then switch direction counterclockwise (2). Sequence of movements: (1) Circle the ball around the hips clockwise. (2) Circle the ball around the hips counterclockwise.
Tip
- The coordination of hip circles and passing the ball around the body with the hand requires a certain learning phase for beginners. - A fluid and increasingly faster movement should be trained. - The ball is permanently under hand control. - The upper body remains upright throughout. - The legs are slightly bent.
