How Many Bunny Tails Can You Catch?

  • Age U6 - U13
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players, 16-22+ players

Setup

  • Form 2 teams (yellow + red), optionally 3rd team in blue.
  • Use 4 cones to mark the field.

Procedure

Each player from both teams tucks the bib into the back of their pants (red team wears red bibs, yellow team wears yellow bibs). This bib represents the so-called bunny tail.

Each team assigns a catcher. The catchers must try to collect all the bunny tails of the opposing team as quickly as possible. If a team has no bunnies left on the field, they lose.

Players who are caught automatically become catchers. The team that wins the most rounds wins the bunny battle.

Variation: Introduce a third team (blue). Upon command, the coach names a color, and the corresponding team becomes the hunted (with the remaining players).

Tip

Coaching Points

  • Always face the catcher.
  • Use changes of direction and body feints to escape the catcher.
