Goalkeeping coach and goalkeeper position themselves on the field according to the diagram. The goalkeeper stands 5-8 Meters in front of the coach. The balls are with the coach. With several multiple goalkeepers, change keeper each round
Procedure
The coach throws the balls to the goalkeeper in different ways. Sometimes to the high right of the goalkeeper(1), sometimes direct to knee height (2) , sometimes mid-height directly at or to the side of the goalkeeper (3), sometimes high and left of the goalkeeper (4). The goalkeeper has to intercept the balls with different catching techniques and throw the balls back with different one handed throwing techniques. His arm position varies according to the type of catch or throw: (1) Catch with one hand high to the right of the body; throw back one handed with the right hand. (2) Catch with one hand in front of the body; roll back one handed switching between right and left hand. (3) Catch with one hand in front of the body (for balls thrown to the side, the body has to be brought behind the ball); throw back with one handed over the head. (4) Catch with one hand high to the left of the body, throw back one handed with the left hand. Alongside the variations put forward, many other exercises can be incorporated as desired. The ball contact time should reduce with passing time. Ultimately in one short hand movement the ball is caught and at the same time thrown/rolled back (the catching and returning of the ball is a fast, fluid movement with one ball contact).
Tip
:- The body is, whenever possible with regard to the reaction time, always brought behind the ball.\n-When catching the palms are brought behind and slightly under the ball accordingly.\n- When waiting for the ball stand on the balls of the feet and be fast to react.\n- Don
