Juggling - Alternating Left and Right

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

Each player has a ball.

Procedure

The player juggles the ball alternately with the right and left foot. The contact surface is the top of the foot.

Tip

- Most players have their toes slightly pulled up during ball contact. This keeps the ball close to the body and gives it a slight rotation toward the body. However, this requires less fine technique. Therefore our tip: Juggle with the laces. - Juggle with the laces. The ankle must be extended for this. - Always make sure both feet are used alternately. - The upper body is upright, eyes looking down. - The standing leg is slightly bent at the knee. - The playing leg is also bent at the knee, with the knee pulled slightly upward so the foot lifts off the ground. - The ball is struck 20-30 cm above the ground. - The arms are at the sides and bent at the elbow (similar to the arm position when carrying a crate of water). - The ball should not spin during juggling (text always readable): for this, it is advisable to extend the foot. Do not pull the toes toward the body; the sole is parallel to the ground. Use both feet!
