Jumps/Squats

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

The exercise station is set up with a start cone and a turnaround cone. Four hurdles are placed between them. The players line up one behind the other at the start cone. There should be no more than 5-8 players per exercise setup.

Procedure

The player sprints to the first hurdle, jumps over it with a tuck jump, and sprints to the next hurdle, under which he crawls through. He then gets back up as quickly as possible, sprints to the third hurdle, clears it again with a tuck jump, and then crawls under the last hurdle. This is followed by a sprint around the turnaround cone and a final sprint back to the start cone. As soon as the first player has jumped over the first hurdle, the next player starts. A total of 20 rounds with 30 seconds rest per round.

Tip

With a powerful two-footed takeoff, the knees/thighs are pulled up to the chest. The arms are bent and go into the wind-up motion. The upper body is upright. Land on the balls of the feet. After a short ground contact time, immediately proceed with the next action. - 2 cones, 4 hurdle(s)
