The corners of the field are marked with cones that the players must run around. Additionally, a marking cone is placed on each side of the midfield line. The players line up at the yellow starting cone one behind the other or in rows of two.
Procedure
The players do progressive runs around the entire field. They start with a sprint to the first cone at the midfield line (1); the rest of the way back to the starting cone is jogged. The second run goes to the first corner flag (2); the rest of the way is jogged. This pattern continues until run 4 (sprint to the second midfield cone, jog back to the starting cone) is completed. The players should always run around the outside of the cones and sprint all the way to the designated sprint marker. During a running round (runs 1-4), players always either jog or run, but never walk. Arrow legend: Double dashed arrow = acceleration/sprint Single dashed arrow = easy jog
