Laterally offset jumps (diagonal)

Setup

One pass takes about 10 seconds. The number of players is unlimited. Two cones can mark the start and end.

Procedure

The players jump sideways forward, alternating from the right to the left footpad. When jumping to the front left, the left arm supports the jump impulse by swinging from bottom to top. The right arm does the same when jumping to the right-front. The upper body is upright.

Tip

- The palms of the hands are open (makes 3/100 difference seconds in a sprinter). - You walk on the footpads and not on your whole foot or heel. - Quick, short movements. - Short ground contact time.
