  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

The goalkeeper goes in the goal. The goalkeeping coach positions himself with soccer balls 10-12 Meters sideways in front of the goal (see diagram).

Procedure

The leapfrogging is started in line with the first post. A dive finally follows after a ball is thrown or shot in the corner in the goal. Learning Aid: 1 Full size goal

Tip

1 full-court goal(s), - When jumping, the goalkeeper moves off the front part of his foot/balls of the feet. He has to learn to keep looking at the ball until he has it under control.\n-When performing a dive after the ball, the goalkeeper jumps sideways and slightly forwards. \n- The ball is caught when falling forwards.\n-The leg closest near to the ground bends, or moves upwards.\n-The goalkeeper falls with a step of momentum the side. To the right, by taking momentum over his right foot, and laterally pushes off over the soccer ball. To the left by taking momentum over the left foot.\n- In this course of movement the hands and face are directed at the shooter. As a general rule, hold on to the ball, if this is not possible the ball should be fended off to the side furthest away from the goal.\nWhen performing a dive, do not allow the body to crumble backwards, rather make yourself long in a slightly forwards direction. If you fall backwards the shooting angle would widen and with that the target area for the shooter would increase. That means the goalkeeper
