9-12 obstacle figures (alternative: stanchion with standing foot) are placed 6 m in front of the goal. The goalkeepers stand in the goal, the goalkeeper coach (GC) 11-16m away in front or next to the goal with the balls.
Procedure
The balls are deflected off the obstacles according to the height and accuracy of the shot, so that the goalkeeper is forced to react fast due to the balls change of direction. Learning aid: 1 Full-Size goal, 2 mini-goals, 12 poles
Tip
12 pole(s), 2 small goal(s), 1 full-court goal(s), - The goalkeeper has to anticipate the balls light path at short notice. This trains his reaction speed.\n-If possible the balls should be caught, if this is not possible he should push the ball off to the side.\n-Just before the coach makes contact with the ball the goalkeeper performs a short, forward two-legged preparatory jump, or takes a short step forwards. Spreads his arms, bends his legs slightly and stands on the balls of his feet. The feet point in the direction of the coach and are at around hip-distance apart. The torso is bent slightly forwards and the eyes are fixed on the ball.\n- The correct balls of the feet technique is important here in order to be able to push up quickly and firmly off the ground.\n
