Opponent overcoming passing game in two squares

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 10-15 players

Setup

A small square is built up with 8 cones in a large square. A player positions himself at each cone. Two players each position themselves on the outer cones. The players at the starting cone have a ball.

Procedure

Three players always start the same opposing passing game. The four players in the inner (small) square change position vertically after the one-two. A plays one-two with D. Player C attacks passively and then runs back to the starting point and becomes himself a passing player against a passive opponent in the counterclockwise direction. A dribbles to cone C and takes on its position and tasks.

Tip

- This passing and dribbling game is very intensive. - Do not place your standing leg too far from the ball and make sure that the players do not lie on their backs. - The pass timing and start timing is crucial. - Often the players run faster than they can. - Demand sharpness and accuracy of fit. - Ball acceptance and removal are ball contact. - Keep the dribble speed high. - Clean handover of the ball on the foot of the waiting player. - 8 cones
