Outnumbering the Opposition and Finishing

Setup

• 2 goals (with goalkeepers)

• 8 cones

Procedure

The drill starts with a 2v1 situation.

After every goal or chance, one attacking player and one defending player will join each team.

One team always has a player more than the opposing team (additional player).

As soon as all players are joined in on the field, they will play a normal game with free touches for 5 minutes.

Tip

Coaching Points:

• Use additional player to create goal-scoring chances fast

• As soon as all players are on the field, always try to find the open player

• Defenders cover spaces in behind and block off passing angles
