Passing game with acceptance and removal of the ball in two squares II

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 10-15 players

Setup

A small square is built up with 8 cones in a large square. A player positions himself at each cone. Two players each position themselves at the outer cones. The players at the starting cone need a ball.

Procedure

The combination is opened with a pass to the first inner cone and this player fits directly into the barrel of the pass opening player. This takes the ball with a contact from the movement, dribbles to the next outer cone and there hands the ball to the waiting player, who starts the same process. This combination game is started simultaneously on the four outer cones and is repeated over and over again. The players alternate horizontally (in width) as recorded, only in the inner square. Alternative: After a few minutes, the players change positions from inside to outside and vice versa.

Tip

- This passing and dribbling game is very intensive. - Do not place your standing leg too far from the ball and make sure that the players do not lean backwards. - The pass timing and start timing is crucial. - Often the players run faster than they can play. - Demand sharpness and accuracy of play. - Ball acceptance and removal are ball contact. - Keep the dribble speed high. - Clean handover of the ball on the foot of the waiting player. - 8 cones
