Passing game with receiving and taking the ball, dribbling + 2 against 1 - situation

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players

Setup

Structure of the exercise according to the graphic. Distribution of players: B and C are the players at the upper starting cone, player A is at the lower cone. The balls are at the upper starting cone.

Procedure

Player B passes the ball through the cone goal to player D. He takes the ball with him at top speed and tries to dribble to the other side. D can freely choose which goal he dribbles through. Player A tries to stop him. Player B joins in and this creates a 2-on-1 situation. If player A wins the ball, the situation is over. After the duel is over, the players switch to the opposite side.

Tip

- When the passer starts the swinging out movement, it´s the start signal for the player waiting for the ball. - The timing of the start and the ability to take the ball are of the utmost importance in this exercise. The right player also has to continue running immediately after the pass. - Player B offers himself on the left side or runs behind player A. - Defensive one-on-one (conquering the ball is the top priority! Do not shoot the ball away.) - Positioning the body so that the opponent is pushed outwards away from the goal. Seal the way to the baseline. Stand to one side, offer side; lure the opponent to where I want him; then push the body in between to capture the ball. - Stand on your footpads, not your whole foot. - Try to slow down the opponent's pace. (This way, time should be gained for the other defenders in the game.) - Offensive duel If possible, approach the opponent at the highest speed. At a slow pace, try using a body fake. - 5 cones
