Structure of the exercise according to the graphic. Distribution of players: B and C are the players at the upper starting cone, player A is at the lower cone. The balls are at the upper starting cone.
Player B passes the ball through the cone goal to player D. He takes the ball with him at top speed and tries to dribble to the other side. D can freely choose which goal he dribbles through. Players B + C try to stop him. Player A joins in and this creates a 2 versus 2 situation. Player either offers himself on the left side or he runs behind player D. If player B or C wins the ball, they can try to dribble to the other side. After the end of the duel, the players switch to the opposite side.
- When the passer starts the swing out movement, this is the start signal for the player awaiting the ball. - The timing of the start and the ability to take the ball are of the utmost importance in this exercise. The right player also has to continue running after the pass. - Defensive duel (conquering the ball is the top priority! Do not shoot the ball away.) - Positioning the body in such a way that the opponent is pushed outwards away from the goal. Seal the way to the baseline. Stand to one side, offer your side; lure the opponent to where you want him; then push the body in between to capture the ball. - Stand on your footpads, not your whole foot. - Try to slow down the opponent's pace. (This way, time should be gained for the other defenders in the game.) - Protect each other. - Offensive duel If possible, approach the opponent at maximum speed. At a slow pace, try using a body fake. - 5 cones
