Passing in a Square with Pass Variation II

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

A cone square is set up. Two players stand at each cone; the starting cone is triple-occupied. The group of three has a ball.

Procedure

The cone occupied by three players begins with a pass to the approaching teammate (1). The teammate lets the ball bounce back (2). The starting player now passes the ball diagonally to the next teammate (3), etc. Principle: Long pass - bounce - diagonal pass The passer and wall passer switch cone positions after their actions. The sequence repeats continuously. Alternative: A simultaneous start with two balls. The two diagonally opposite starting positions must then each be double-occupied.

Tip

- This passing game is very running-intensive and demands a high level of football intelligence. - Do not place the plant foot too far from the ball and make sure the players do not lean backward. - Pass timing and start timing are decisive. - Do not forget the running path. - Demand pass sharpness and accuracy. - Accuracy before speed. - Concentration must be maintained. - Anticipation, perception, reaction, movement and action speed with and without the ball are constantly demanded. - 4 cones
