Passing in Two Squares VII

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression, Main point

Setup

A small square inside a large square is set up. 16 players distribute themselves at the cones as drawn. Two players position themselves at the starting cone. Each group of four has a ball.

Procedure

First, a long pass (1 - vertical) is played from A to B, followed by a pass into the run of teammate C. Player C then passes the ball back to the starting position to Player D. This exercise can be performed three more times by groups of four players on the other trapezoid sides in the two squares with the same passing and running paths.

Tip

- This passing game is very running-intensive. - Do not place the plant foot too far from the ball and make sure the players do not lean backward. - Pass timing and start timing are decisive. - Often the players run faster than they pass. - Demand pass sharpness and accuracy. - Accuracy before speed. - The second pass must be played into the player's running path. - 8 cones
