A small cone square is built inside a large cone square. Ten players distribute themselves at the cones as shown in the diagram. Two players with a ball position themselves at the starting cone, as do two players at the opposite cone.
Procedure
Three players always start the same passing sequence. The four players in the inner (small) square switch positions horizontally after the one-two. A passes to B, who relays the ball to C. C then plays a one-two with A. A takes C's position. C starts the same sequence and plays to cone player D. Alternatively, the passing form can be played with two balls, with players A and F starting the passing sequence simultaneously.
Tip
- This passing exercise is very running-intensive. - Do not place the standing foot too far from the ball and ensure the players do not lean backward. - The pass timing and start timing are crucial for the success of the passing exercise. - Players often run faster than they pass. - Demand pass sharpness and accuracy. - Accuracy before speed. - The third pass must be played into the player's running path. - 8 cones
