Ten cones form a 34 x 40 metre square (penalty area width on a regulation field is 40 metres) with a total of four zones (A-D). The eight blue players are one team and the eight red players form another team. In each sector there are four players of the same team (see diagram), with each team occupying only two sectors. (1) 20 metres (2) 6 metres
The blue players in Zone A try to pass to their teammates in Zone C (and vice versa). The red players in Zone B try to prevent this with clever positioning. However, none of the teams may leave their assigned field. If the red team wins the ball, the roles switch, i.e., the players in the two red zones (B+D) try to pass the balls to each other. The blue players in Field C take over the defensive work and try to intercept the passes. The back lines occasionally switch zones. Quick transitioning from possession to ball recovery is the focus. The team in possession must utilise the full width of the field to make ball recovery as difficult as possible for the defending team.
- Completed passes or ball recoveries can be counted. - Precise passing should always be trained in game-like situations. - Develop game awareness. - Communicate and help each other. - Players should be in motion. - 10 cones
