Passing to Four

  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players, 6 - 9 players, 10-15 players

Setup

• 4 cones to mark the field
• 2 teams of 4 players

Procedure

Each group of 4 players has one ball.

• Task 1: Pass to a teammate from dribbling, who receives the pass securely and then passes it again.
• Task 2: Process each pass with a visible change in direction and increase the tempo over a few meters.
• Task 3: Pass on every 2nd pass directly.
• Task 4: Only pass when a teammate offers themselves with a short sprint.
• Task 5: Upon a signal from the coach, perform all actions at the highest pace until the coach (after 5 to 15 seconds) gives a 2nd signal.

Tip

Coaching Points

• Take the ball directly in stride.
• Use both feet for ball processing and passing.
• Demand communication.
• Perform actions with the ball at a high pace.
