Setup
Set up a cone box as shown. Each cone should be occupied by a player. Three further players should be positioned as follows: Two players to the side of the 18 yard box, one player to the side of the goal on the goal line. (1) Goal attempt
Procedure
The drill starts with a cross-field pass from player A to player C within the box. Player C lays the ball off to player B who psses diagonally to player D. D lays the ball off for player C who, after a short sprint, shoots at goal. After the shot at goal, D sprints into the box and either finishes a: a) cross from G b) cross from E or c) a backpass from F. Every player then moves on one position.
Tip
4 cones, - The player waiting for the ball should always make a short, quick dummy run away from the ball before receiving it.\n- The passes should be played hard along the ground\n- The player should lift his foot slightly when laying the ball off\n- Timing is important when making runs in the box\n- The crosses and backpasses should be hit hard
