Setup

Set up a cone box as shown. Each cone should be occupied by a player. Three further players should be positioned as follows: Two players to the side of the 18 yard box, one player to the side of the goal on the goal line. (1) Goal attempt (2) Cross paths

Procedure

The drill begins with a diagonal pass frm A to C within the 10m box. Player C lays the ball off to D who then passes diagonally to player B. B lays the ball off for player C who, after a short sprint, shoots at goal. Immediately after the goal attemt, C sprints into the box and crosses positions with C who has positioned himself ready for the next move and then they either finish a: a) cross from G b) cross from E or c) a backpass from F. Every player then moves on one position.

Tip

4 cones, 1 full-court goal(s), - The player waiting for the ball should always make a short, quick dummy run away from the ball before receiving it.\n- The passes should be played hard along the ground\n- The player should lift his foot slightly when laying the ball off\n- Timing is important when making runs in the box\n- The crosses and backpasses should be hit hard
