Passing with Finishing Variation V

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 6 - 9 players

Setup

Set up a cone hexagon according to the diagram. One player stands at each cone and a ball is at the starting cone. (1) Shot on goal

Procedure

The passing combination begins with a diagonal ball from Player A to Player C. C lets the ball bounce to Player B, who plays a diagonal ball to Player D. Player D lets the ball bounce to Player E, who passes the ball diagonally to Player C. C has left his cone position after his pass to Player B with a short sprint toward goal and can now take a shot on goal. The players' running paths form a cycle, i.e., each player moves one cone station further after his pass (or shot on goal). Once every player has shot on goal, the exercise is performed again but with a direction change. This means the first ball goes from Player A to Player E, who also gets the shot on goal.

Tip

- The ball-expecting player always takes a step back in a dynamic jumping motion and then takes a step toward the ball. - Play passes sharply, accurately, and low. - When letting the ball bounce, slightly raise the foot. - Correct start timing. - Score goals. - 6 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
