Three cones are placed in a line one behind the other. A player stands at each cone at a distance of 5 - 8 metres.
Passing takes place between the respective players. The middle player moves slightly toward the outer player, receives the pass, and lets the ball bounce back. Then the middle player turns 180° and runs to the other teammate, from whom he receives another pass. Alternative: The following pass and receiving combinations are possible: - Receive with the inside of the foot, then pass back - Receive and take a first touch, turn to the shadow player, and pass to them, etc. - Pass back with instep or inside of the foot kick - Direct volley return after a half-high ball toss - Let the ball bounce back directly with the inside of the foot/instep or outside of the foot - Receive with the head, play back with the foot - Receive with the knee, play back with the foot - Receive with the chest, play back with the foot
- Correct incorrect execution and demonstrate the proper technique. - Precision of passes takes priority over execution speed. Only when the passes accurately reach the teammate can the tempo be increased. - Increasing the tempo adds time pressure from the passer to the receiver. - Extended execution of the exercise can lead to concentration lapses, increasing the error rate of the middle player. Therefore, this player should be rotated every 60 seconds. Other important points: - The plant foot should be placed 30 - 40 cm to the side of or level with the ball. - For the inside of the foot pass, the toe points upward, the ankle is firmly tensed, and the upper body leans slightly forward over the ball. - Stand on the balls of the feet, slightly raise the kicking foot, and strike the ball in the centre. Bring the body over the ball and do not lean backward (receiving the ball follows the same principle). - After striking the ball, follow through with the leg. - Pay attention to the arms! When passing with the right inside of the foot, the left arm goes to the right hip; when using the left inside of the foot, the right arm goes to the left hip! - For the instep pass, the ankle is extended, toes point to the ground, and the upper body leans slightly over the ball. - When playing the ball with the outside of the foot, the player can easily lean backward. - For the inside of the foot kick, the player moves laterally offset to the ball and the body goes into a tilted position. - 3 cones
