4 cones are set up as shown. One player at each cone, the ball starts at the start cone. (1) Position change
Procedure
Player A hits a long ball in the air to player B. B passes to C with his first touch. C then passes back to B who hits a long ball in the air back to A. After each long ball the two players who played the one two swap positions at a sprint.
Tip
4 cones, Start by running the drill slowly and then speed up. The receiver should always make a small, dynamic dummy run away from or to the side of the ball before receiving the ball. \n- Demand good pass precision but also focus on clean lay off before the long balls so that these balls can be played one-touch.\n- The reciever must learn to judge the flight of the ball correctly and to adjust his positioning accordingly.\n- Pass precision is more important than pass speed.\n- Concentration must be held at all times.\n- The long ball should be cushioned with the instep.\n- The long ball can be player with the instep or the ball of the foot (crossing technique).
