Penalty kick with exercise: 4 vs 4 on four small cone goals followed by a penalty competition

  • Training Set Main point

Setup

A field is marked out with cones. A cone goal is set up on each of the four sides. 2 teams of four players each are formed. Enough balls are placed at each field to ensure a quick flow of play. A full-size goal with a goalkeeper is set up near the field. The playing time is between 2-4 minutes, and penalties must be taken immediately after the game ends.

Procedure

The two teams play 4 vs 4 on four small cone goals for two minutes. Each team defends two cone goals. Immediately after the game, each player must take a penalty kick. Each player has a maximum of 5-10 seconds, meaning they must shoot against the goalkeeper under time pressure. The converted penalties count as goals toward the score. After the penalties, the teams return to the field and play another two minutes of 4 vs 4, with players who missed their penalty unable to play for the first minute, potentially forcing their team to play short-handed. After that, all four players from each team take penalties again, and so on.

Tip

- 12 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
