Play-opening Type II

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

Construction of 3 goals according to the diagram. The two small goals are positioned to the left and right on the half-way line. The large goal is placed centrally on the touch line. The goalkeeper goes in the goal. The goalkeeper coach (GC) stands approx. 12 m away with the balls.

Procedure

The GC kicks the ball with a hard drop-kick to the catching area of the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper catches the ball and plays it into either the left or right goal either as a drop kick or a throw. Intensity: 20-30 Repetitions Course of Movements/pass/throw: 1

Tip

2 half-court goals, 1 full-court goal(s), - The takeoff takes place either with or without an intermediate step. Taking many steps makes for too large a waste of time. When taking off, the bodyweight is on the push-off leg. The goalkeeper tries to hold onto the ball.\n-When performing a lateral throw out, the arm is stretched back like a javelin thrower, and ball laid in the open hand. The stretched out arm is then powerfully thrown forwards, just missing the ear. The Stem-step is important here. When the goalkeeper throws with the right hand, the left leg is offset forwards to the side, and vice versa when throwing with the left hand.\n- You can practice throwing techniques against a net, and afterwards incorporate the throwing action into shooting practice, in that after a ball is held, it has to be thrown into one of the goals built on the pitch.\n- When performing a dropkick, take the ball in both hands, stretch out the arms and drop the ball. The ball has to be met with the laces at the moment it hits the ground. After contact the leg follows through. The ball should not spin.\n
