Precision Passing IV

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Progression
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

A small goal is placed inside a full-size goal. The ball is placed at the 18-yard line, where the player stands.

Procedure

The player passes long balls into the target area. The posts of the small and large goals form the target area. This means the player should try to pass the ball into the gap between the full-size and small goal into the corners. Alternative: - By placing a cone, the distance to the goal can be increased. - This exercise can also be conducted as a competition. Two or more players alternate. Whoever scores the most hits wins. There are various ways to play a pass: - With the inside of the foot - With the laces - With the instep - With the outside of the foot - With spin

Tip

- The standing foot should be placed 30-40 cm to the side of and at the height of the ball. - For the inside-of-the-foot pass, the toes point upward, the ankle is firmly tensed, and the upper body is slightly leaned forward over the ball. - Stand on the ball of the foot, slightly lift the kicking foot, and strike the ball centrally. Bring the body over the ball and do not lean back. - After striking the ball, follow through with the leg. - Pay attention to the arms! When passing with the right inside, the left arm goes to the right hip; when passing with the left inside, the right arm goes to the left hip. - For the laces pass, the ankle is locked, toes point to the ground, and the upper body is slightly leaned over the ball. - When playing the ball with the outside of the foot, a slight backward lean may occur. - For the inside-of-the-foot shot, the player approaches the ball from a sideways angle, and the body goes into a diagonal lean. - 1 small goal(s), 1 cone, 1 full-size goal(s)
