  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 10-15 players

Setup

  • Cones to mark the playing field

Procedure

The game is played 6 vs 6 in a free play format. During the game, the coach introduces an additional ball into play. This game aims to improve decision-making and quick action. Players are forced to communicate with their teammates to engage with the additional ball as soon as it enters the game. Defending players must pay attention to multiple ball carriers and coordinate the defense accordingly.

Tip

Coaching PointsFor playing with one ball:

  • Defend in a 4-2 formation.
  • Act compactly and cohesively, shifting towards the ball.
  • Ball in the center: The ball-near defensive midfielder steps up, the ball-far defensive midfielder covers in depth.
  • Center-backs: cover overlapping.
  • Pass to the wing: The full-back steps up, the rest of the line shifts towards the ball (but do not move too far from the center).
