Tip
-The Ronaldo trick is a full body movement. As a result, the player should make sure that he leans his body in the opposite direction (right) from the movement of the ball (left). - The player should attempt to distract his opponent with his upper body movement, and to try to convince his opponent to make the same movement. The player with the ball can gain time with this movement. - The players should stroke the ball with their instep/sole of their foot. - The upper body should be slightly leant forwards. - The players should complete this trick on the balls of their feet. -At the start of the trick the players should keep their movements (upper body swing and step over) short and quick and not make long, slow movements. - The exercise should be started slowly without any obstacles or opponents. As the player becomes more confident, the speed can be increased and an obstacle (cone) introduced. Finally the trick should be completed with an opponent. - Short, quick movements. - The player should not only look down at the ball. He should vary his view between player and ball. - After the trick the player should move the ball slightly to the left with the outside of the cleat. - Short, quick sprint.
