Running combinations with a short sprint

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

Construction of a course according to the graphic. The players line up in pairs at the starting cone.

Procedure

Two players start at the command of the coach. First there is a "skier jump" through the rings, followed by a sprint to the little hut. Then there is a side skipping run over the six bars. Now the players have to check off to the side and make sidesteps through the two staggered bars. Finally, the players cross the last two bars with skippings and sprint to the cone. Everything happens at the highest pace. The next two players can start as soon as the two have passed the rings.

Tip

- The distances between the bars should be different from each other. - Short, quick movements on the footpads (not on the whole foot). The heels should not touch the floor, the legs / arms are angled and swing with the natural counter-movement (right arm / left foot). The upper body is bent forward. Short contact with the ground, top speed. - Sidesteps forwards / backwards => In the lateral running direction, the legs are moved apart and brought together in parallel, the arms swing in synch with the leg movement. - 6 ring (s), 4 cones, 12 hurdle (s)
