Shooting Competition on Two Goals

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

Set up two goals facing each other. One goalkeeper per goal. The balls are distributed between the goals.

Procedure

The goalkeepers play against each other. They alternately try to score goals in the opposing goal using various goal kick and punt techniques. The first to score 10 goals wins.

Tip

- Permanent training of targeted punt/goal kick/shooting and throwing techniques and saves. - The goalkeepers must constantly watch where the shooter is standing. - If the opponent has shot from a position far from the goal, a quick transition after a saved ball can be promising, as the goal may be open. - Aim for the corners and watch the goalkeeper. If the goalkeeper stands too far in front of the goal, chips are also a promising option. - Vary tempo between fast, controlled, preparatory, and waiting actions. - Continuously correct the positioning, goalkeeper techniques, and shooting/throwing techniques. - To increase the fun factor, run multiple actions consecutively. - 2 full-size goal(s)
