Set up a cone/pole triangle. The two players position themselves at the cones as shown in the diagram. The front player has a ball.
Procedure
The player moves as fast as possible through the hurdle triangle using lateral skipping or forward/backward skipping. The running path goes into the hurdle triangle, out the front, out to the left, back to the centre, and then finally out to the left. Immediately after exiting, he receives a pass, which he plays back accurately and firmly.
Tip
- Short, quick movements on the balls of the feet (not flat-footed). The heels must not touch the ground; legs/arms are bent and swing in the natural opposite running motion (right arm/left foot). The upper body leans forward. Short ground contact time, maximum speed. - Clean, accurate passing. - 3 pole(s), 5 cones
