Set up a goal and two poles as shown in the diagram. The players distribute themselves evenly at the two poles. The balls are with Group A.
Procedure
Player A passes the ball slightly diagonally into the 18-yard box. Player B sprints after the ball and shoots on goal. After each round, positions are switched.
Tip
- The opening pass into the 18-yard box must be timed so that the player can reach the ball with a straight sprint. - Pay attention to proper body position when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the direction of the shot; arms swing along; the arm closest to the shooting leg follows the leg's backswing, the other arm moves forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - Make sure to practise shooting with both the right and left foot. - Different shooting techniques (inside-of-the-foot shot, instep shot, curling, etc.) can be practised (possibly on the coach's instruction). - The receiver's initial movement begins with the passer's backswing. - 2 pole(s), 1 full-size goal(s)
