Tip
- Player B makes a counter-movement at the moment of A's backswing and then comes briefly toward the ball for the layoff. The same applies to player C, who starts his counter-movement as soon as B goes into the backswing. - Pay attention to powerful and precise passing. - The aerial ball (A) should be played partly with the inside of the foot and partly with the instep as an inside-instep shot (linear flight path). This pass type allows a high passing speed. - When receiving the ball with the chest, make sure the ball is let to drop in the passing direction toward player C. - Pay attention to correct body posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion, the other is brought forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - Make sure that shooting with both right and left foot is trained. - Different shooting techniques (inside-of-the-foot shot, instep shot, curling, etc.) can be practised (possibly on the coach's instruction). - 3 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
