Shot on goal after two diagonal passes

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point

Setup

Construction of a field marked by four cones with two opposing goals. The players are distributed evenly at the four cones. The balls are distributed at cone stations A and C.

Procedure

Player A opens with a long ball on player B, which lets the ball bounce diagonally into the center of the field. Player C sprints to the ball, dribbles, and then shoots on goal. The players then change positions clockwise. The diagonal opening balls are always played alternately from positions A and C.

Tip

- The long opening pass can be played as a linear flying ball or as a flat pass. In both cases, care must be taken to ensure that the ball is played by an inside kick (hit area is half inside). In contrast to the flat pass, the foot of the flying ball is brought further under the ball and gently leaned backwards. - The pass and the subsequent ball deposit should be played on the strong foot. - The pass recipient makes a short counter-movement as soon as the pass player starts to hollow out and moves towards the ball. - Short explosive dribbling with tight ball control. - Ensure correct posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; Leg about 30-40 cm laterally offset to the ball, foot points in the direction of the shot; Arms swing with; the arm that is closest to the shooting leg follows the movement of the leg, the other is brought forward; the gaze is on the ball at the moment of the shot. - Different shooting techniques (inside kick, turnbuckle, twirling etc.) can be practiced (if necessary on the instructions of the trainer). - 4 cones, 2 large field goal (s)
