Tip
- The move against a stationary opponent must be initiated approx. 2 m beforehand. - Demand different moves (stepover, pirouette, shot fake, etc.). - The player making the move runs into the ball when the ball has left the wall passer's foot. - Demand shots with the weak foot as well (always alternating once right - once left, etc.). - Pay attention to body posture when shooting (upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion (when shooting with the right, the right arm goes back and the left arm forward); eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot). - As soon as the player is past the wall passer, the next starts immediately to avoid delays. - The wall passer makes a short counter-movement as soon as the starting player goes into the backswing and then comes briefly toward the ball. - The ball reception and control should be a fluid movement. Excessive bouncing of the ball or reception deviating from a straight running path should be avoided. - Ball reception and control should generally be done with one touch. - The coach can also act as the wall passer. - The wall passer can be passive, semi-active, or active, i.e., playing with full physical engagement. - 2 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
