Shot on goal with player obstacles

  • Age U6 - U13, U14 - U19
  • Training Set Main point
  • Number of Players 1 - 5 players

Setup

The goalkeeper stands in the goal; two players position themselves on the 6-yard line in front of them. The goalkeeper coach (GC) stands 10 to 16 m directly in front of the goal. The balls are with the GC.

Procedure

The GC shoots from approx. 10-16 m at the goal. The two players block the goalkeeper's view without deflecting the ball. The goalkeeper must react as quickly as possible. Intensity: Approx. 20 shots.

Tip

- For the goalkeeper, since they see the ball late, this is not an easy but a very game-realistic situation. - The goalkeeper tries to hold the balls. If unable, they should parry the balls to the side. - The takeoff is either without or with only one intermediate step. Multiple steps represent too much time loss. The body weight is on the push-off leg during takeoff. - The goalkeeper dives sideways with a swing step. To the right by generating momentum through the right foot and pushing off laterally from the balls of the feet. To the left by generating momentum through the left foot. - 1 full-size goal(s)
