Set up a goal and three cones as shown. One player each stands at the two cones nearest to the goal (B and C), the remaining players (A) line up with balls at the third cone.
Procedure
Player A plays a give-and-go with B and then a give-and-go with C. This is followed by a short dribble and shot on goal. The shooter retrieves the ball and lines up behind group A again. The two wall passers rotate regularly.
Tip
- The wall passer makes a short counter-movement as soon as the starting player goes into the backswing and then comes briefly toward the ball. - The pass to the wall passer should be played to his strong foot. - The ball reception and control should be a fluid movement. Excessive bouncing of the ball or reception deviating from a straight running path should be avoided. - Pay attention to close ball control during dribbling. - Pay attention to correct body posture when shooting: upper body over the ball; plant foot approx. 30-40 cm offset to the side of the ball, foot pointing in the shooting direction; arms swing along; the arm closest to the kicking leg follows the leg's backswing motion, the other is brought forward; eyes are on the ball at the moment of the shot. - Make sure that shooting with both right and left foot is trained. - Different shooting techniques (inside-of-the-foot shot, instep shot, curling, etc.) can be practised (possibly on the coach's instruction). - 3 cones, 1 full-size goal(s)
